Evesham Ramblers Walks: Winchcombe Round – Hailes, Farmcote & Sudeley
Sunday 5th October
An lovely 8.5 mile walk in the glorious countryside around Winchcombe, going via Hailes, Farmcote, Sudeley Lodge and Sudeley Castle. There is one long, steady climb and descent, but otherwise it is pretty easy going and all on good surfaces. It is a walk with good variety and some stupendous views.
Bring refreshments/sandwiches for a picnic lunch. We will have a couple of drinks stops as well as a lunch break.
Additional Notes:
Walking on good paths and tracks throughout, plus quite a lengthy stretch on a very quiet estate road. No particularly steep or slippery bits and just a few stiles. Could meet some livestock, mostly sheep but just possibly some cattle. Suitable for well-behaved dogs on leads.
