Enjoy an invigorating 6 mile circular walk on Bredon Hill. Starting from Elmley Castle, we make a climb (we ascend early) up to the top and then circle part way round the summit, going via the ‘Bambury or ‘Elephant’ stone, and Parsons’ Folly tower, where we will stop for a snack break, before making our way back down via a less steep path to the interesting church in Elmley. It is quite a stiff climb but our reward is some absolutely wonderful views and a great sense of space. We walk mostly on good paths and tracks with a couple of stiles. A few parts can be a little rocky but there is nothing very steep or slippery, although walking poles might be helpful. We will meet some sheep en-route. Bring refreshments. Please park considerately in the village alongside the stream on the left as you enter the village, NOT outside the pub please.
