Enjoy an easy 4 mile walk, followed by a picnic, which is being held in support of the Macmillan Cancer Charity, at the lovely Bidford meadows picnic site.
Our walk takes us from Bidford, going via Barton, Bickmarsh and Marlcliff and then follows the river Avon back to the picnic site. It is mostly flat and easy walking with few stiles.
(Note: This is a repeat of last year’s successful event at which we raised well over £100)
The picnic is being hosted by Donna, who will be bringing some of her delicious home-made cakes. Other refreshments will also be provided and attendees will be invited to make a voluntary donation*, the proceeds of which will be forwarded to the charity.
*There will be a collection box for cash donations, or alternatively donations can be made by phone using a QR code.
To ensure we have enough picnic food and cake, please let Sheila know by Weds 1st July, if you plan to join us .
Free parking is available on the Saxon Field car park, near the roundabout (see below for details), which is about 100 yds from the picnic area. Alternatively there is ample parking in the picnic area itself (£3 all day charge).
Bring a plastic box with you if you would like to take home some extra cake for additional contribution.
