Description:

An invigorating walk with some outstanding scenery and the chance to enjoy a picnic at Dover’s Hill, one of the Cotswold’s top beauty spots and site of Robert Dover’s Olympick Games dating back to 1612. We set out along wooded footpaths to reach Farncombe Estate and then contour along passing Saintbury Church. We continue through fields before making a steep climb all the way up to the topograph on Dover’s Hill, where we will stop for our picnic and enjoy the extensive views. For the remainder of the walk, we follow the Cotswold Way on an easy and gently undulating path, much of it along a broad tree-lined avenue, all the way back to our start point.
