Join us for a lecture on the Siege of Worcester in 1646!
Part of the Worcestershire 375 project, our series of talks commemorate the 375th anniversary of the Battle of Worcester in 1651, by looking at key events in Worcestershire during the English Civil Wars.
Our talk on 15th August will focus on the 1646 siege of Worcester, examining the events as recorded in Henry Townshend’s diary and the infamous use of one of the largest pieces of artillery in the war-Roaring Meg.
Admission is free, but booking is advisable.
All talks are held at Evesham Town Hall.
